SAN FRANCISCO and LONDON, 2016 - tray.io (http://tray.io), the company that provides an easy, cloud-based way to connect and share data between software services, today announces it has closed $5 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Mosaic Ventures, with participation from existing investor True Ventures. tray.io plans to use the new funding to open a San Francisco HQ, and develop the technology to enable customers to auto-generate SaaS connectors and visualise software relationships within their organisations.
"Being able to utilise the data that's trapped within siloed SaaS products is a company’s #1 priority in order to maintain growth. Until now this wasn’t possible without costly integrations that involved the hassle of writing code, scaling and maintaining servers and handling changes in third party API's " said Rich Waldron, CEO and co-founder of tray.io. "We've built an intelligence layer that can be used across an entire company so that previously unattainable workflows between tools can now be unlocked by anyone, in any team or department."
tray.io is already supporting companies such as Snapchat, Expensify, Vox and Digital Ocean, processing over 1 billion tasks per month and rapidly growing its customer base on both sides of the Atlantic.
tray.io's innovative workflow cloud empowers its customers to automate and share data between many platforms. This ranges from real-time reactions to combined analytics data for marketing teams, through to churn prediction and supporting intelligence by gathering data from external platforms and presenting it in-line with requests.
In order to do this, tray.io has developed a cloud-based platform for creating, sharing and consuming workflows. Offering a series of pre-built technical connectors, tray.io reduces engineering work, handles authentication, retries and hosting to provide a best-in-class stack for enterprise infrastructure.
With its new funding tray.io will continue to scale its unique workflow cloud product, and evolve the business optimisation engine that powers the platform.
In order to sustain its rapid growth tray.io will be expanding its team and opening a San Francisco HQ.
“tray.io has developed a seamless way to connect different software applications in the cloud and orchestrate how data is shared between them." said Mike Chalfen, Co-founder and Partner at Mosaic Ventures "Instead of silos of data in their SaaS services, businesses will be more agile and smarter, without having to spend developer resource. As early adopters ourselves we're delighted to be partnering with tray's tenacious and brilliant founding team."
